EXTRA ITINERE AD ADSTRA

Aux armes, citoyens

There are moments along the history, that an ideal runs like a wave, like a tsunami, and changes for ever a country or a region of the world. Leaving back hundereds, thousand or millions of martyrs with whose lives is paied the prize of freedom. It was on this way at the end of XVIII century with the American and French revulutions, being followed by a big number of riots and changes in all the western world: the born of the concience of the peoples, and the concept of national sovereignity. In these movements were the resistence to the french invasion and the Illustration who gives origin to the Spanish Constitution of 1812, or the following independence of the Latin-American Countries.

It is clair that there have been changes in the ways. The fact that the communications were faster in the modern world, with the aparition of the modern mail, the telegraph, the telephone, the radio, the television, and in the last decades, Internet, have doing that when the people makes a change in the society, this change were in a more short space of time. The evolution of that that you can see in the European Revolutions of 1848. Or during the fall of the Wall of Berlin, premonition of the end, en two years of all of communist states of Eastern Europe.

In the Arabic World, with a lot of anacronics non-free states, the bang of the revolution was only question of time. This revolution would be not sure violent, there is the example of Tunisia, but yes, it was necesary a very high voice of a community of young citizens that because internet, they don’t believe the lies of de corrupt dictatorships that govern them.

The European Left was wrong when give support to Ben Ali and Mubarack. And also was wrong the European Right when some of their members said that democracy is not possible in the muslim countries.

No, lads, it was wrong the Left and the Rigth of European politics. Liberal democracy is very posible away of occident -there is Japan, or South Korea-, the only thing that was needed is the concience of freedom and make the actuations for the establishment of a state of citizens, individuals, free and equals before the Law.
I think this days, something have changed forever in the north of Africa and Near East. And the Citizens, because the people of these countries (Egypt, Tunisia,…) have became Citizens won’t give permision to anybody who can stole they freedom. The pacific manifestations, remember, once again, the famous and known phrase of La Marsellaise, the French National and Revolutionary anthem: Aux armes, citoyens. (To the arms, citizens).
