Latins and Latin-Americans

In my spanish blog, I have published an article about the confussion that exists with the word «latin» and its asociation only with the latin-americans, forgetting that in Europe there are some countries that have the same cultural and linguistic carachteristics. France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Romania, Andorra, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City, part of Switherland and Belgium are as Latin as Mexico or Brazil.

In this way, I’m very sad when I read in some places that one movie is in Latin Spanish, because all the variants of that language are Latins. When we talk of Latin languages or Latin countries, we are talking about things that have its origin in the ancient Roman Empire. And, like Spaniard who I am, nobody have the rigth to stole my calification of Latin.
